My Journey
I must admit I was skeptical when I first encountered energy work. I was first introduced to it by a colleague who had attended an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) workshop. When she returned to work, she taught me how to do EFT. EFT is a meridian-based approach, that works in a way that is similar to acupuncture. No needles are used - instead the individual "taps" or holds different meridian points on her or his own body. During my first informal instruction with EFT, I did not experience any dramatic changes - mostly because I was too busy laughing! I felt at the time that there was no way in the world I would suggest to a client that they try this - it just seemed silly to think that something so simple could make a difference.
I did not think about EFT again, until a couple of months later, when I was experiencing a personal crisis. It peaked one night as I repeatedly cycled through overwhelming emotions. After being completely unable to sleep, by around 3:00 AM I was desperate enough to try that new "weird" thing my colleague had taught me. I found the sheet of instructions and followed them. Within a minute or two, I felt completely calm, relaxed, and as if I had been sedated. I immediately fell into a deep sleep. The next morning I was amazed by what had happened. For the next few days I did EFT any time I felt even the slightest discomfort of any kind. I very quickly went into a euphoric happy place. As someone who has a very severe trauma history myself, I was not accustomed to the idea that healing can be so gentle and easy! I was impressed.
Over time I became increasingly comfortable using EFT for myself and with clients. After repeatedly witnessing dramatic improvement, I came to truly believe in energy work. I gradually expanded into learning about and practicing various other techniques in order to have a variety of tools to offer people. In doing so I began to notice how when I combined aspects of all of these techniques, my own healing and that of my clients began to accelerate by even greater leaps and bounds. This realization and a constant desire to make healing easier, gentler, and more effective, led to the development of Zensight™ Process.
